"It was about two years ago. He went to McKinley and I went to Dalton Academy. He had come to spy on the Warblers."
"Warblers?"
"That was Dalton's Glee Club. The Warblers would be competing against McKinley's Glee Club The New Directions for Sectionals. When he had gotten into the school he asked me what was going on. I told him that the Warblers were doing an impromptu performance in the Senior Commons. I told him that I had a shortcut.
"Then I had to perform. I had sang Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. It was so magical."
"I knew he was a spy from the start. A terrible spy at that. I decided to buy him a cup of coffee. I still remember his words. 'Thank you for buying me a cup of coffee before you beat me up." I assured him that I would not beat him up. He was such a terrible spy it was cute. Then I thought that it wasnt the real reason he came. Then he asked if this was an all gay school. (It was a boys only). I told him that we werent but we had a strict zero-tolerance no harassment policy. It turned out that he was being bullied at his school. I wanted to help him out. 'Well Kurt you have two options. You could apply at Dalton but I know that isnt an option for everyone because the tution is high, or you can stand up to him. We exchanged cell phone numbers and told him to call if he needed any help."
"Wow. So what happened next."
"The bullying got worse but we finally found out why this was happening. The kid who was bullying Kurt kissed him. Then Karfouski threatened to kill Kurt if he told anyone. I mean Kurt had already told me, but I suppose I didnt count. Soon enough it go to the point where Kurt needed to leave the school, so he came to Dalton."
