"Blaine. What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story," Rachel told Kurt.

"Blaine. Your bleeding, your eye!" Kurt said worried.

I was tearing up. It wasn't because the pain. It was of joy. Kurt really cared about me.

"Take off that shirt. We need to patch up those cuts."

I nodded and did so. Kurt looked like he felt awkward about that and I couldn't blame him.

"Kurt, do we have any gauze?"

"No we don't Rachel!"

"Fine I'll run to the store. Be back soon Kurt."

Rachel ran out before anyone could argue.

"Blaine. I wanna know everything that happened. Just because we broke up doesn't mean I don't care about you."

"It started on Sunday. It was midnight and I couldn't sleep. I was sick of being there. I was sick of my parents. I was sick of being away from---anyway I ran away. I got a train to Butler, took a bus and walked a lot of miles to the boarder of Philly. Then I took a cab to the ferry and then came here."

"How did you get like this?"

"A gang. They stole my phone, all my money, my bag, my jacket, and they punched me and used a switchblade."

"Why did you come to New York? Of all places?"

I decided to sing. I can always explain better in song.
